Privacy notice
This notice explains how RK Tech Edge Academy uses information needed for student accounts, assessments, courses, 1:1 sessions, and the resume builder.
Information we use
We use your Google sign-in identity and profile details, including your name, email address, phone number, college, and course details. For courses, we also use purchase and payment-reference records, access status, lesson progress, quiz attempts, reviews, and certificate records. For 1:1 sessions, we also use booking records: the service booked, the session time and time zone, scheduling identifiers from our scheduling provider, reschedule and cancellation history, refund records, and any notes you choose to add when booking. For the resume builder, we use the resume profile and resumes you create (including your contact details as you enter them), job descriptions you paste, any resume file you upload to import, your resume credits and purchases, and a record of each AI request (its type, time, model and size, but not its content).
Why we use it
Your information is used to create and secure your account, process course and session purchases, provide protected course media, save learning progress and quiz results, issue and verify certificates, schedule, remind you about, reschedule and cancel 1:1 sessions and process any resulting refunds, build, check, tailor and export your resumes, provide support, and investigate technical, fraud, or security issues.
Payments and service providers
Razorpay processes payments for courses and 1:1 sessions; Razorpay may email you its own payment and refund confirmations. For 1:1 sessions we use cal.com to manage the calendar: your name, email address, time zone, and the session time are shared with cal.com so it can book the slot, create the Google Meet link, and send calendar invitations and updates; sessions take place on Google Meet. For AI-tailored resumes and resume import, we send the text needed for that request to Google Gemini models through OpenRouter, our AI provider. For tailoring, that is the job description and the parts of your resume being rewritten; your name, email address, phone number and links are never included. For an import, we remove email addresses, phone numbers, links and, where we can detect it, your name from the text before it is sent. We do not keep the AI request or response text in our logs. We use Google for sign-in verification and use Brevo to send transactional emails, such as receipts, session reminders, and cancellation confirmations. Our hosting, database, monitoring, payment, and email providers process data only as needed to operate the Academy.
How it is protected
Student contact and profile details, including the contact details on your resume profile, are encrypted in our database. Sessions use secure, HttpOnly cookies, and access to student and admin functions is restricted by account permissions. Protected course media is available only after server-side access checks. No system can eliminate all risk, so please protect your sign-in device and do not share account access.
Account access and personal-data requests
You can disable your Academy account from the account deletion option on your dashboard. This immediately signs you out and disables account access. You may later register again with the same Google account and complete your profile again.
If you cannot sign in or need help with a personal-data request, contact Academy support from the email address associated with your account so we can verify the request.
You can delete your resume profile and all your resumes at any time with the delete option on your resume profile page. Resume purchase and credit records, and uploaded files, are kept as described below.
Retention and your choices
Submitted assessment attempts, scores, purchase, booking and payment records, progress, certificates, and limited audit records may be retained where necessary to provide the service, preserve academic history, prevent fraud, protect security, or meet applicable obligations. Disabling account access does not immediately erase these records.
Updates
We may update this notice when Academy practices change. The current version is published on this page.
